"The workhorses of the pastel world"
These small, hard pastels are used by beginners and pros alike. They can be sharpened with a utility knife for precise detail, or used in broad strokes as under paintings. There are some pros that use that exclusively and there are so many colors that you can use them easily to fill the color gaps for the larger, softer pastels. They are an essential part of my box of tricks.
