Sennelier Pastel Card Mixed Media Pads and Sheets were specifically developed for use with all dry pastel techniques AND for use with a wide range of wet mediums. The papers surface provides excellent resistance to water and solvents, allowing both wet and dry techniques to be used.

The pastel surface is made using a unique manufacturing process, with a layer of pH-neutral cork powder applied to an acid-free, pure wood pulp cardstock.

The surface retains much of the unique surface quality and look of the original La Carte pastel paper, but now with a waterproof quality.  The sumptuous surface is very uniform and slightly abrasive, promoting excellent pigment adhesion without requiring a lot of pastel for coverage. The Mixed Media surface retains some of the varied intonation of La Carte that shows off the rich colors and provides a receptive visual background to the artists' eye.

5 SHEET MINIMUM PAPER ORDER: Single sheets of paper and board 16"X20" or larger may be combined for the 5 sheet minimum.

Sennelier has done a remarkable job with Pastel Card Mixed Media producing a water proof surface which works for all wet media while retaining many of the unique characteristics of La Carte. The prominent 120 on the pad cover and edge of the full sheets refers to the micron size of the particles in the coating. Surface is slightly smoother than La Carte in the medium to fine range. They do not use a grit number designation.

Pastel Card Mixed Media is being introduced in six colors: Naples Yellow, Dark Blue Gray, Light Gray, Charcoal, Raw Sienna & Burnt Sienna.
