Like having half stick option--new to pastels. Smooth, full color range. Would like a system that goes dark to light, cool to warm, similar to blue earth. Maybe I am just new to this

Unison has been a wonderful product and hopefully stays that way since the passing of its founder, John Hersey. His wife and son are carrying on--I'm glad Dakota makes the product available. The recent sticks seem as wonderful as ever..

I have just made my 2nd order of Unison individual pastels. The 1st order ended up missing one piece. I notified Dakota and immediately got a response and they said they would include that one with my 2nd order. I am amazed at the staff who has to hand pick one's order of 20 some individual colors, pack them safely and get the order to me in a matter of a few days. I am grateful and will remain a loyal customer. As for my new found appreciation for Unison, as a neophyte pastel artist, this is the Goldilock's "just right" feel and plays well as I learn to have a lighter touch for layering. Some brands are too hard while others are too soft for me.

Unison pastels are my favorite pastels. I use them in most of my paintings. The colors make landscapes and portraits sing.

I absolutely love these pastels and their large range of color they have to offer. I would strongly urge anyone that is just starting out to start with one of their larger half piece sets…..they are so worth it.

My favorite, soft but firm, can decide with pressure how to apply. Wish they were square but I just break em for edge use. Really love the colors

Soft, luxuriously rich, dense colors. A real joy to use. Glad these come individually!

Always liked Unison, the deep purples and gray tones are very nice. The shape is not my preference but I just break them in half to get an edge when needed. Love all the color they offer. I just have to choose wisely at this point.

Really like this product, however having difficulty finding the color needed from the color charts - my second try to order the correct "red" - looking for the deep "maroon" but don't have the number that I purchased originally.

For two of the pastel sticks I unwrapped they just cracked apart . Not what I wanted. Unison should review binder to pigment ratio and see if binder becomes to dry . Otherwise colors are excellent.

UNISON'S ARE SO LUSH. A LITTLE DAB WILL DO YOU. I USE THIS COLOR YELLOW AT THE VERY END OF A PAINTING FOR HIGHLIGHTING. IT GIVES AN OVERALL LOOK OF LUSHNESS!

I love these pastels. They are soft without being crumbly. And Dakota packages them so safely and well protected. They shipped quickly.

For years I have had only a few unison pastels. Then this past Aug I took an online pastel challenge with Fiona Carvell and ordered her set. I fell in love with unison this time around. The ones that I have had for many years are different than the newer ones. I will continue to buy singles to get the colors that I use the most.

Dakota always ships extremely quickly with items packed very secureLy. When a recent UPS delivery was placed overly sharply on the concrete steps, a few pastels cracked. Dakota responded the next day and immediatley shipped replacements. Great and fast service!

I received the 32 Unison individual pastels quickly and they were perfectly packaged for safe delivery. As a bonus, there was space on the invoice to make a mark next to each item so I will have it as a reference for reordering.

Creamy soft pastels. The pastel sheet with numbers and a space to put a color sample is very helpful.

I bought this one as an art instructor online uses this color frequently in her demo's. She's right, this color is great. Perfect shade of yellow without being too bright. Has a golden tone to it. Great for rendering fall foliage.

I got my initial order messed up and Dakota worked with me to get it straightened out. They allowed me to return some of the Unison Individual Sticks and replace them with others. The Individual Sticks are well wrapped and packaged and arrived in perfect condition. They are very easy to work with and the colors wonderful.

Unison pastels have great color, good coverage and do not crumble. Different colors vary in hardness.

Quick delivery. Of the purchase of 9 individual Unison pastels, two were very disappointing insofar as the color of the pastel versus the color pictured in your website. I expected a much lighter hue than what was delivered. The color names were Red 5 and Red 10. I already have these shades of red and expected to receive what looked like less saturated tints online.

I love Unison Pastels! Probably my favorite since the colors are so nice.

The colour line is amazing, with a lot of neutrals to contrast with the brighter, pure pigment w/white colour lines of other pastels. The texture is amazing. My only complaint is that they have started cutting back on the colour line.
