A very nice set of pastels—not quite as buttery as my Schminke set but they’ll probably last longer for the same reason. One of the colors—a fairly dark turquoise—crumbled and completely fell apart the first time I used it. I’ve never had an entire pastel completely self destruct like that but it was just the one color (29). My Schminke tend to be crumbly but nothing like this one Townsend. The colors are very rich and it’s a decent selection for landscapes but only a fraction of what I’d recommend for landscapes but I knew this when I purchased this small set. If these were slightly larger I’d be more inclined to buy more but for now I’ll probably continue to invest in mainly Unisons.

This is gorgeous! There's a great range of greens and other earth tones. I can't wait to use the lilac!
